Who is responsible

When you contact us
The contact form asks for your name and email address. You can also give us your company, phone number and the kind of project you have in mind, along with your message. We record which page you sent it from.
We use it to answer you, and for nothing else. No newsletter, no advertising, and we never sell it or pass it on for someone else’s purposes.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who get in touch with us (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
When you apply for a job
The application form asks for your name, email address, the role you are applying for, anything you write about yourself, and a link if you choose to share one.
We use it to assess your application. The legal basis is that you asked us to take steps before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
When you only visit
If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, Google Analytics tells us which pages get read and roughly where our visitors come from. If you decline, or simply leave the banner alone, those cookies are never set.
We also count visits with Vercel’s built-in analytics. It sets no cookies and identifies nobody, so it runs whatever you choose.
Who else handles it
We use a few suppliers to run the website. Each of them handles the data on our instructions only.
- Sanity — stores your enquiry or application
- Resend — sends the alert to us and the confirmation to you
- Microsoft Teams — where the alert arrives
- Google Analytics — visitor statistics, only if you consent
- Vercel — hosts the website
How long we keep it
Enquiries: while the matter is live, and up to three years after, so we can pick up an old conversation.
Job applications: up to six months after the position is filled, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Analytics: up to 14 months, which is the retention setting on our Google account.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to us using it. Write to contact@vuleng.no and we will reply within one month.
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to Datatilsynet. Their guidance is at datatilsynet.no.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets its cookies only if you accept. One further cookie, va_consent, remembers whether you said yes or no — without it the banner would ask again on every page.
To change your answer, clear this site’s cookies in your browser and the banner comes back.
Changes
If we change anything here, we update the date at the top of the page.
