Edvard Grieg Seawater Treatment
A lower-capacity sibling to Ivar Aasen — ready for rapid connection, with Vulkan engaged in a modification and maintenance study ahead of startup.
Identical Architecture, Ready to Connect
An existing seawater treatment system with ultrafiltration, sulphate removal, and chemical treatment, currently being assessed for modification and maintenance ahead of startup.
The Challenge
Before the treatment system is brought into operation, the existing equipment and process configuration need to be evaluated to identify required modifications, maintenance activities, and operational improvements.
The Vulkan Solution
Vulkan is contributing technical and operational experience to the modification and maintenance study. Experience from comparable offshore seawater treatment installations is being used to support the evaluation and prepare the system for reliable operation. The scope includes assessment of:
- Ultrafiltration (UF)
- Sulphate Removal (SRU)
- Chemical dosing
- Cleaning-in-place (CIP) systems
- Process and maintenance requirements
The Result
The study provides a structured basis for the modifications and maintenance required before startup, helping prepare the seawater treatment system for reliable and efficient operation.
